Dandelion root herbal tea

Traditionally used in herbal medicine to help increase bile flow (cholagogue and choleretic); as a diuretic; to help treat digestive disturbances (dyspepsia); as a laxative (aperient); to help relieve dermatological conditions such as eczema.

Recommended dose (adults): 2 teabags (3g) in a cup of cold water, boiled 2 minutes, infused 10 minutes, 3 times per day.

Medicinal ingredient: Each teabag contains 1.5g dried roots of taraxacum officinale (dandelion).

Duration of use

Diuretic: for occasional use only; digestive disturbances: if symptoms persist beyond 2 weeks

Cautions/warnings

Consult a health care practitioner: if symptoms persist or worsen; prior to use if you have liver or gall bladder diseases, and/or intestinal obstruction.

Contraindications: Do not use if you have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disorder, diabetes or edema (swelling of hands, face or feet) or are taking products containing diuretics, do not use this product.
