Product Description

One of the oldest members of the legume family. Alfalfa is believed to contain more total food minerals than any other land-grown plant and contains the entire spectrum of vitamins. Its root system reaches down 39 metres or more, drawing from the earth its full store of minerals and trace elements. It contains eight amino acids and the following eight enzymes key to the body’s metabolic processes: amylase, lipase, protease, emulsin, coagulase, invertase, peroxidase and pectinase. It is rich in vitamins A, B6, E and K. Alfalfa has been traditionally used in the treatment of dyspepsia, for the relief of joint pain and as a digestive tonic.
