Norway is home to rich herring fishing grounds, one of the main sources of food for the Norwegian people. Herring oil derived from the roe of Norwegian spring-spawning herring is rich in the essential omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA, as well as choline. Choline is important for healthy liver function and cognitive performance, and is a precursor for the powerful brain chemical acetylcholine, which helps us process information faster and improves memory. Herring oil also contains natural astaxanthin, a member of the carotenoid family, and is one of nature's most powerful antioxidants. Clinical studies have demonstrated that astaxanthin supports cardiovascular and immune health, as well as protects the skin from premature aging and other health risks associated with exposure to the sun's UV rays.
This oil is sourced in an environmentally friendly, sustainable manner. The Marine Stewardship Council whose mission is to conserve the marine habitat certified the Norwegian spring-spawning herring fishery.
Herring roe oil is richer in DHA and EPA phospholipids than krill oil. And, omega-3s in phospholipid form are more easily absorbed. The softgels are small and easy to swallow and the product has no fish repeat. Available in both 500 and 1000 mg.

Recommended use: Omega-3 fatty acids, including DHA and EPA, support cognitive health and brain function, as well as cardiovascular health. And, phospholipid-bound omega-3 fatty acids seem to have select advantages in how they are absorbed and utilized by the human body.
The omega-3 fatty acids in Herring Gold are in phospholipid form – the same form found in human cell membranes, significantly increasing their rate of absorption and therefore their ability to support the brain and overall health. This is a very rich source of DHA and EPA in a near 1:1 ratio for maximum cognitive support. Herring Gold offers enhanced absorption and bioavailability.
When bound to phospholipids in the body, EPA and DHA form compounds that act very much like hormones. And our hormones control and regulate many other body functions. When EPA and DHA are not readily available this body regulation can start to spin out of control.
Recommended adult dose: One 1,000mg as directed by a health care practitioner.
For reducing serum triglycerides/triacyglycerols: Five (5) 1,000mg softgels daily with meals or as directed by a health care practitioner.
