Adults
Take one capsule three times daily with a meal, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner. To minimize the risk of gastrointestinal side effects, gradually increase the dose over a two-week period. Use for at least one week to see beneficial effects on mood balance, and for two weeks to relieve symptoms of fibromyalgia.
Cautions
Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are taking carbidopa or serotonergic drugs/supplements, including L-tryptophan, SAMe, St. John's Wort, antidepressants, pain killers, cough and cold medication containing dextromethorphan, anti-nausea medication, or anti-migraine medication. Some people may experience gastrointestinal disturbances such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. May cause drowsiness; exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving, or involved in activities requiring mental alertness. Discontinue use and consult a healthcare practitioner if you experience skin changes, weakness, mouth ulcers, or abdominal pain accompanied by severe muscle pain. Do not use if you have scleroderma, are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive. Do not use in individuals under 18 years of age or with a pre-existing health condition. Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen, or for use beyond one year.
