Chewable Papaya Enzymes and pancreas
The pancreas produces proteolytic enzymes, mainly trypsin and chymotrypsin, which are essential for the proper digestion of proteins. Some plants contain similar enzymes, which are also capable of breaking down protein molecules. This is the case, for example, papain, which is derived from papaya (Carica papaya, family Caricaceae) and bromelain from pineapple that pulls (Ananas comosus, family Bromeliaceae).
